    Hi all, 1st post.

Need to re-install the starter rope on ~20 yr old TORO CCR2000.

Looks like the knot slipped and it pulled out of the recoiler.

This happened just as I had to go to work a double shift too...

I grabbed the user manual and took it to work to see how to get at the recoiler.

It was NO help on getting the body shrouds off.

Oh well, I'll have to eyeball it and go from there.

Just asking here if there's any "gotchas" on getting to the recoil starter?

    TIA, Tom

I changed one on my 2450 this year. You have to take a lot of stuff off to get at it. I took something like 16 screws/bolts off. Just start with the shroud and keep going until you get to the recoil.
