2002 Dodge Ram radio quits after 5 seconds. I took the after market cd player out and put the stock back in. Now it will only play for 5 seconds then the speakers shut off, the radio still has power because the time is still displayed. Anyone have an answer?

Had to replace mine with an aftermarket Sony CD player I had kicking around for a similar problem. The plug in on the backside of the radio was messed up. I could play with the plug and make it work. I tried taping it into position and that worked for a while. Pull the radio and play with that plug-in and see if you can get it to work. Only permanent fix is a new radio. Something in that connection gone wacky.......
