question on air filter

    While plowing i have issues if i drive a little fast during blizzard my air filter gets full of snow and pretty much kills truck any help???

    The air is sucked in off the pass side wheel well. If you're in fender plastic is missing the snow will be sucked straight in. I would recommend replacing the stock air filter with a 14x3 round air filter... or you can also try removing the cross tube that conects the top of the air box to the wheel well

    I have an aftermarket AFE cone filter sitting down near the passenger side fender. I have never had a problem with snow clogging it up.

    on a diesel the air is sucked in from inside the engine compartment... on a gas there is a hole on top of the pass. side wheel well that opens into the well.. you AFE sits in front of the wheel and it's inside the engine compartment.. that's proll why you don't have an issue
