Question for larger blowers on resi's, both skid and tractor

Guys that are using larger blowers on residential driveways, both skidsteer or tractor mounted, standard or inversed... the question remains the same.

Does your blower scrape down to the surface as clean as a good plow, or do you leave a thin skim layer due to the blower not "floating" properly? I've read through some searched threads here where some say their blowers are too heavy to use the float function of their tractor or skid and that they have to manually set their height.

Has anybody ever used a commercial grade rubber edge for the bottom of their blowers? How was the finished product?

Like crap. just like a Urethane edge on a plow. You want teflon or the equivalent non marking plastic.
