Price: Calcuim Chloride pellets or liquid

    is it cheaper to spread calcium chloride on the sidewalks with pellets. or is it cheaper to spray in on with back pack sprayers

    If you spread pellets you will end up with liquid.

    Please keep in mind that freight costs are always a large part of the deicers final cost. A 30% Calcium Solution means you are paying not only for 70% water, but also the freight on 70% water. Buying solid pellets allows you to use them as is, or mix with water yourself (although flake is used more for turning into a liquid solution).
