power pump leaking replaced O rings for 2 bolts, 1 large O ring for housing assy, 1 O ring for fitting assy. put pump back on truck. filled pump started truck, turned steering wheel both directions to bleed out the air. NO LUCK s. wheel still turned very hard. I crack open the line at the hydroboost from the power steering pump no fluid. can somebody tell what i did wrong ?

I forgot the procedure from when I did this on my truck, so remind me, where do the lines go again?
There is one from the pump to the box, one from the box to the booster, and then a return from the booster to the pump, right?
Do you still have enough fluid in the pump? That's a lot of hose.

I had just replaced my power stering pump and resvoir on my '97 k3500. Simply over time it rusted from what looked like the fittings and leaked. They sell a full rebuild at all the car parts places for around a hundred with warranty. I wouldn't waste time trying to patch an old unit - you'll never win.
