Poly board coating/treatment ?

Discussion in 'Boss Plows Discussion' started by Avitare, Nov 27, 2012.

  1. My old poly mold board is 1999 vintage. I try to clean it at the beginning of the season and then rub wax and heat it plus buff it -- the best I can.
The effort is good for awhile but not for the season.

Fluid film doesnt seem to be the solution for this part of the plow,..
(FF is used extensively every where else from metal, boots, to my cracked hands)

any suggestions to help keep snow from sticking,.. would help

Are you using car wax.Try some ski wax. I've never tried it, just theoretical
  3. wax

I have tried car wax and cross country ski wax

The car wax was just power buffed

The ski wax was rubbed on, heated with propane and then power buffed

And I have also tried spraying with silicone but hat seems marginal
Last I tried Dupont Teflon Snow and Ice Repellent -- spray
