Howdy.
If you don’t ask you won’t receive..
Re:
I notice that when i plow , My piles roll up as I push . I do go very slow , doing driveways mostly.

Leaving a big round cylinder Lol Making the pile very hard in some scenarios especially if wet snow..
Raising the blade towards the end of the hey pile helps sometimes.

I may not be going fast enough??

Just wondering if those rolled up pushes are avoidable ?
More speed? Angle plow?
Thanks

So your piles look like the imprint of a plow?

Lol..if you put it like that it definitely sounds pretty dumb

I've just noticed and seen other people plow and push with speed and the snow from the bottom sort of flys forward and it moves all together - not leaving an imprint of a plow lol

I think I need to maintain my speed and push right to the final pile

Thanks

No, not really avoidable, also, if you're getting these wet snow events with cold temps following, spend the time and make it nice in tidy when it's easy to push, because once it's frozen, it's a pain to
Move

Try plowing during the storm before it gets too wet.

We just had 30 cm fall. Then temps went up to +8 and 25mm of rain.
We were late getting to a couple lots. I never plowed such heavy snow in my life.
Keep some momentum going, once that giant rolls stops moving it's staying put. The entire lot has a nice wall around it now of mould board shape rolls .

Going to be mild the next couple days . Going in with the tractor with bucket and stack some snow.

Thanks man! That's my worry about the pile getting too difficult to move . I had a property , residential house with a driveway on each side rounding to a lot in the back. A horseshoe if you will. On one side there was the house on left and a ditch on the right .
I pushed the start of it to the left on to lawn and then to the right into ditch ( buried ditch so had to b careful to not drop into it'.
The problem was between the side of the house and the *possible ditch I wasn't sure If it was all along the property line l there was a sunken fence., it was only about a 8-10ft push and I came up solid when It rounded to a big cylinder . We had 40 Cm that storm.
I had another 15 ft to get to the back wall To pile on.
This was light fluffy snow too. IF this was wet snow I would have been SOL, especially as it was a slope and would be Ice.
I believe i needed momentum as you said. I am just going slow being cautious, but it seems that I could have kept going some how. I broke the pile up by cutting the top off and and teasponing the sides,

The big issue was that this pile came up solid right before the end of the house so i couldnt push to the left, and I didn't want to go right and end up in the ditch ( wasn't sure how bad The ditch was, photo doesn't look bad)

thanks for tips
