What is the difference between the 2500HD and a 2500 (both new body style)? What do you get with the "HD"? What is included in a "plow prep package"? Can you plow with a 2500 or do you need a 2500HD? Also, is an extended cab (NOT quad cab with 4 full size doors) with 8' box too long and cumbersome to plow driveways with? Has anyone had problems with their plow brackets sitting too low on a new body style Chevy?

Thanks for helping out a "new guy",

well the 2500 is most likely the 8600 GVW and the 2500HD is the new one ton 9200GVW with sinle rear wheels ,so they classify it with 2500HD the 3500HD is duel rear wheels only and that is 10KGVWunless you get into the cab and chassie. As far as plowing drive ways with an extended cab 8" bed don't to long to make any turning radiuses,if you need the extra room go with the short bed.
