I have a 1/2 mile driveway that is mostly river run gravel. For the most part, it's somewhat uneven bullet proof hard pack with some roundish rocks poking up here and there. I've been using a tractor with a blower and scraper blade for 8 years and now I've bought a new truck with a new 8' Fisher HD.

I was wondering what type of setup is recommended for this type of road?

Should the shoes be at the same height as the edge?

The plow is new. Should I add the cutting edge now or wait? In 8 years, I'm almost through both sides of the cutting edge on my tractor's scraper.

You should put a cutting edge on it now IMO. I plow alot of gravel driveways and I don't run shoes, unles the ground is not frozen. What do you have for a truck?

thanks. That's what I was thinking for the edge.

The truck is a f250 regular cab with plow package.
