I have an older Western plow and everything works fine on it except when I am driving down the road the plow keeps slowly lowering and I am constantly raising it up. What would cause this and how is it fixed? Thanks!
It is a hydraulic. I just put a new seal kit in it to try and correct the problem, but that didn't do the trick. Could it be the fluid that I use? Any other ideas?
Thanks!
since it is an older plow most all of them leak. You could have a leak in one of your hydraulic hoses causing it to lose its pressure and drop the blade. Check your hydraulic level and see if it goes down. If not then you are looking at a completely different problem. But yes you are correct and you shouldn't have to keep lifting the plow when you drive down the road.
