Is that something you bought? or is it a winter lease? If you bought it what kind of work do you do that justifies a NEW machine like that.

When I was in the Marine Corps we had JD 544's and we took them to Iraq so if they can withstand combat they can withstand anything you or your guys through at them.

Here are a few pics of ours in iraq.....

we had 4 of them 2 unarmored and 2 armored

    That is one awesome machine.

Did you lease it for the winter or did you buy the machine?

Thanks everyone. I think it ran him around $175k. Dont know for sure and dont really care, I just know I get something nw every year to plow with. :) We put a 14' FFC pusher on it (which is for sale). We had a cat 924 last year and this has more power!!! We really didnt need the high lift but for resale we got it. It pretty much sits in the shed all summer on the battery tender collecting dust. When we went down to the plant we seen all the military units with nite vision. That was really cool especially with a brother-n-law in the Marines. I will get some pics and hopefully video of the unit plowing this winter.

Ohh man. For some reason I had a feeling that I was going to be jealous when I opened this thread. I know the boys that run the loaders for the City of Ottawa would take a JD anyday over a Cat or Volvo. Enjoy!
