On a Seasonal Commercial contract/agreement, do you include Ice Control?

Discussion in 'Ice Management' started by LLM Ann Arbor, Dec 10, 2006.

See the question

  1. I charge separately for each event

  2. I include it in the seasonal contract price

  3. I include a certain amount of visits in the seasonal price, then charge for each one over that

Or, do you charge for that each time you salt.

Salting is extra on our contracts, all but one appartment building, which came through a friend of ours that does include the salt, so his customer wanted us to.

Salt or Ice melt it is a service that I offer ala cart.

Some places do not want salt unless it is a ice storm or the like, others only want salt/ice-melt on their sidewalks every time it snows.

Price for plowing $XX.xx plus $XX.xx for salt.

Ann, do you include it or do you charge separately?

"dont fool yourself into thinking ice management is included in a seasonal contract. Most Do Not include it. "

Ann, Will you include it or Will you charge separately?

Because the one person that responded to that statement said he included it and I thought perhaps I was wrong in what I had been told and heard over the years. So I thought Id do a poll.

I am not sure how I will do it yet, and it will probably depend on what the client wants.

Why do you feel it necessary to do an autopsy on every little thing I say here.

Are you going to ruin this poll like Mark Oomkes ruined the how do you invoice poll?

Christ sakes. You've already hassled some guy in Detroit on the phone thinking its me.

    Just cool it.

Ice -Snow.... Snow- Ice... at what point do you NOT use salt on ice because its snow that is packed hard?? or it started out as rain, turned to snow then turner to Ice, ( if you only service snow events and are not including proper Ice coverage, than your only giving your customer partial service.)

We put down Treated Salt every time, if there is snow and or ice.

You just ruined it your self?
    with all of you baggage.

I was just asked a Q that was right on TOPIC with what you were asking.
If you said that apples are purple in one post then say, no there pink in another then you should be questioned.
It seams you asked this Q in the other thread too.
Do you think the answers are going to be any Different here?
Yea, I hassled some guy calling his phone lolol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He posted it on the "NET" so I think he wants people to call? what do you think? I wanted to ask him a Q, what is so wrong with that?
get over it, It was disconnected so I doubt I hassled anyone Ann.

I still think it is you also... the similarities are uncanny...

Not everybody wants salt. I have small commercials that are gravel - no salt except near the entrances. Others want no snow or ice anywhere. In my opinion, just charge for the ones that want/need it, WHERE they need it, as a separate item on the contract, besides plowing. I don't think it matters whether we're talking about a seasonal contract or a per-event contract, the philosophy is the same. It works for me, anyway.

How come every time he answers someones Q he can't?

He always tries to redirect it or skirt the Q.

He comes up with some Q. or statement that has nothing to do with the topic at hand?

Then when you ask him about it he gets all defensive??? hummm

HO-NOooooooooo Mr. bill I'm on Anns Iggy list LOlololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoops, this isn't a Yes\No question. Now we're really confused.

PS I have some that are included in the seasonal contract and some that are ala carte.

I charge extra for salting, if I have to salt once in one day, I charge for one, if I have to salt three times in one day, I charge for three...
