    If the transfer case is "stuck" in 4HI...will it still move if I pull the front driveshaft?

    As long is the truck is not a full time four wheel drive it will still move if you take out the front drive shaft. If it is a full time four wheel drive, the shifter needs to be in 4 lock, not just hi or low to get the truck to move. I was told that the full time transfer cases worked sort of like a differential. It would allow one axle to move independantly from the other to prevent binding, (like when you leave a truck in four wheel drive on dry pavement).
