Old Fisher joystick(now broken) has 2 wires to switch, operated when cables to the hydraulic raise/angle valves are moved.
New after market joystick has only one ground wire and no switch. Anyone suggest how to add or update a switch?

The new control grounds the solenoid to activate it rather than powering it, so you need to add a jumper wire from the hot side of the solenoid to one of the small studs.

Thanks cwren, I will run the black wire from new control to solenoid on pump motor (ground stud). New wire (jumper) from solenoid to ? small studs?. What small studs, where?

Also won't we need to ground the new control?

If your solenoid only has the 1 small post, you'll need a different (4 post - 2 large, 2 small) solenoid to make that control work

Thanks again. Hate to keep bothering you, but it sure is nice to get info. from someone that knows his stuff.

We have Large solenoid terminal Red wire to battery +.
Small solenoid terminals black and red (S terminal) now running to old switch.
Large terminal(-) on solenoid is grounded to pump motor.

We will run new control wire to black small solenoid terminal. (Seems like that is just dead ended at control?)

Will we need new Jumper wire from Large Solenoid terminal + to small red (S) solenoid terminal?
