Wow! this year started out to be a promissing year with decent snow falls, freezing rain. No snow in weeks and none in the forecast for the next 15 days at least, damn jet stream needs to fall! We've had plenty of rain and 40 degree temps. Everything seems to be going a couple hundred miles west and north of us right up the Ohio valley and into Canada. I'm about to break out the fall clean up stuff again just to try and make a few bucks.

I know how you feel. It is looking the same for us here too. Although Im not too sure how excited people would be to see me with leaf equipment out in Jan. This winter is an exact replication of last year so far. I am not expecting anything plowable till at least the 15th of Jan:mad:

Same here.
I was back to cleaning lawns for 2 days about a week before Christmas and cleaned 2 lawns on the day after Christmas. If it gets warm I will be back at the leaf pickups again> Mother nature made it rough to finish leaves so my customers know that I had no control over it. The 2 on the 26th were happy to see me get the piles of leaves up so they didn't kill the grass.

Sorry to hear that guys!
We have had a weird year in that it snowed way more than usual. Gone out 5 times in December already and it looks like maybe a couple more might happen this month. Kinda like how it used to be.
Hope it snows for ya soon!

I think Illinois is getting it all so far.

Record year and is snowing like crazy right now.

We are having a winter like I remember as a kid with snow on the ground starting from the 1st of Dec and no let up yet.

Not bragging or anything but I am enjoying it.

Today will be the 15th time out so far this month.

For it being only the 28th we are batting better than 50% on days out.

That is mostly salting days out but I still get paid the same snow or salt so I am pleased.

At the same time I always have it in the back of my head that this very well could be the last plow of the season so I take nothing for granted.

To many years here in Illinois where we only went out less then 15 times the entire season.

Hope the winds change your way but not to much because I would like this to continue here for the rest of the year.

Same damn thing here. 40 degrees and raining. Hell, I was cleaning gutters today. My wife is tired of me watching the weather and yelling at the t.v "it's winter why all the rain and no snow!' Obviously the language is toned down for this site. I'm going crazy and getting fat. I want some damn snow! Or just fast forward to spring.

My Wife always says the weather forecast has not changed since the last 10 weather on the eights.
Change the channel !
We had one decent event that went to rain then back to snow. Got a big 4 hours out of it.

I am going nuts because of this! I have lived in Batavia for the last 18 years and at the end of November my wife and I moved out here close to her parents. I have been soooo mad that I'm missing probably the best winter I would have ever seen in Illinois. I think we've had a grand total of 3" this winter, and not all at once. It has been mostly rain and slop.:yow!::angry: That's it... I'm walking back! prsport

So you were the one.

Seriously, it is to bad you dint drive back and spend winter with a friend because it has been good so far.

Another 12 hours from the mess yesterday.

Dropping that snow at the time it did added a couple of hours because of traffic as well. :dizzy:
