OfficeTrax/Royal Farms

    We are in our second year of servicing Royal Farms convenience stores. Last year they allowed us to begin work PRIOR to storms coming; we were able to be proactive. As of this year they contracted all service requests to a third party vendor called OfficeTrax out of Canada. All requests for snow removal and ice prevention must be called in by a manager to the OfficeTrax system.
    The problem is that all managers do one thing well and one thing only: manage the inside of their store. They are not storm managers. We are having serious difficulty encouraging them to monitor weather and call in before a storm hits. Many times we have to call all our stores and ASK them to put in a request; we cannot initiate a service call without an OfficeTrax request (or we cannot be paid). Does anyone deal with this type of a situation? What have you done to alleviate the problem? Thanks in advance.....
