Hello all I have got a problem with my 2001 ford f250. When I slow down below 20 mph there is a clunking sound coming from the middle to back end of my truck. At least this is what I hear when I drive it. But it will not make the sound from a dead stop accelerating. I thought it was my front ball joints but I am not sure any more.
    any help is much appreciated

Ball joints don't normally "clunk" they usually have a squeek or moan noise,
sounds like a U joint or sway bar link to me.

You might want to check your joints in your driveshaft....

This with your brakes on or just coasting? Hitting bumps? Does it have limited slip axle?
