Going to pick this up tomorrow, got it for $5,000. What do you guys think? It needs a few little things, blower motor ( bearing ) is making noise. Back up lights are not bright enough, need to install a pair of tractor lights. Could use some plug wires, ones on it are a mismatched set of old and older.

I am not a big fan of chrome but the aluminum isnt to bad. I sold the stainless simulators off of my old 1 ton within the first week of owning it. The cab is pretty soild, it is going to need some outer rockers this summer, and the bottom of the doors have some surface rust, no holes though.

Soon you will hear the distinct sound of that 454 gulping petrol. :dizzy:

Nice year round truck that is for sure.

I love my old 79 K 30. Its just worn out.
Both outer rear wheel bearings gave it up this year, one chewed the housing pretty good. The front axle has some pinion bearing issues, The t case is popping out of 4 high, And after last storm while checking it over the front main leaf on the left side is broken in half. Just time to upgrade. Motor in the 79 only has about 20,000 miles so it will go in my 86 K 2500 this summer.

    Man what a find.

I love the truck, atleast the plow is electric hydrolic, I now some guys will put up with the belt drivin pump on the conventional fishers but mine drives me nuts on my 85 K10.

Good luck with the ol truck, we better be seeing some pics of her moving some white mountains.payup

I am not to fond of the electric plow myself.
