On my 2002 Chevy Avalanche 2500 8.1L. Have owned it for 14 yrs. Replaced headlights housing. In the past I have used wipe new light restorer but that is just a band aid and the foggy/cloudy just comes back. Purchased 4 upper lower lights for $110 on Amz. Spent several days buffing compound/ Meguiars 105/ 210. and finished w/ NU Finish Wax !! Happy w/ results ! (y):drinkup:

Looks great! I'm just curious what about the wipe new didn't work out for you? Does it just not last for you? The reason I ask is I had a friend get wipe New on my recommendation but he didn't do the sanding part, just tried wiping the chemical on. If you don't do the sanding part first the results are not nearly as good. Your compounding method worked really well here though, so if it works for you go with it!
Yes I have use wipe new 2x's in 12yrs. it's a temp/band aid the cloudy film comes back!
