Hi my name is Nick and I’m from Rochester , Ny. Started last year with a Fisher MMII on my Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. I bought the plow used off another Ram 1500. The guy told me to hook the main positive wire to the 100amp Z pack fuse. Now when I plow and the radiator fan kicks in it blows the fuse. What are people doing to fuse the main positive wire that goes to the selenoid? Thanks!

Why fuse it?
Why not go straight to the battery....its supposed to be fyi

The guy told you wrong. The plow pulls more than 100amps so it has to go to the battery directly

I wasn't sure if it should be direct to the battery or one of those large amp circuit breakers for DC current

You can, but the plow can pull up to 175 amps so you'd need a breaker bigger than that. Plows are not typically fused.

Thanks it's good to know. I did find 200 and 250amp circuit breakers but given the corrosion the would probably fail after a bit
