Need Help Fast Snow Comeing

    I need help fast have ford f250 5.8 351 my truck is eating starters do any
    of you know what might be doing this this is my 5 one this year any info
    on this :help: thanks

    It's probly a bad ground. What year is it? The starter is grounded to the engine when installed but look at the grounds going to the engine and going to the chassis.
    Is there a lot of grease on the engine where the starter mounts to? Check the voltage going to the starter with the truck off and when you turn the ignition (you'll need help with that one). With the truck running check the voltage on the starter on the wire that gets power when you turn the truck on but doesn't have power when the truck isn't running. It shouldn't have power.

    what do you mean eating....
    are they burning up or is the drive gear getting
    chewed up ?
    is it shimmed ? the rite starter for the truck ?

    more info on what you mean by eating starters- what is the damage to them?
