Need 72-93 dodge help

    I am putting a 1992 dodge d-250 back together. It is obvious from the paint marks, the the front fenders go inside the front skirts or inner fenders. that is how it was when I took it apart.

    IE when you look at the truck, you see the lip on the fender, and then sticking down below that and overlapping by about 1/2 the width, is the inner fender or skirt.

    Is that correct, I cant imagine that that is factory. On all the other trucks I have ever worked on, the inner fender is behind the lip of the outer fender.

    Can anyone confirm this....

    1975 Powerwagon, wheel wells had nuts welded to them so the bolt went through the fender then threaded into the wheel well.

    I'll look at my '92 W250 tommorow... don't think it hangs down like that...
