Mounting pre-wet unit for UTG spreader

I have a UTG spreader and am looking at a couple of options to mount a pre-wet tank and pump for it.

First thought is to have it on the tail gate. This would allow it to stay level with the gate up and have the shortest run of fluid to the spinner. This could raise a problem of getting the box to lower when salts gone but the tank is still full because of the extra weight on the gate.

Second is to mount the unit on the cab guard and run the fluid line down one of the box rails to the spinner. This could raise clearance issues but would also help to lower the box when there is perhaps only a quarter of the salt left and it is all in the back of the box near the spreader. Also the liquid line will have a long run.

Has anyone seen commercial units like these or have any thought on the ideas?
