I just installed a boss mount on an 04 chevy 2500 HD. The manual says nothing about drilling any holes, but shows a bolt going thru a hole just under the tow hook- in front of the rear bolt that screws into the tow hook. I'm assuming that is for an 07 or newer, but want to confirm. Anyone know?

No need to drill. The three OEM tow hook fastening points are all you use on the classic body trucks.
