Meyer EZ Vector Plow????????

Just wondering if anyone has seen or used the Meyer version of a "V" plow?

I saw an ad the other day, the lift frame and pump looked identical to the standard Meyer plow set up. We already have quite a bit invested in Meyer mounts, pumps, parts, etc.......... just thought a "V" plow would be nice to work in to the common mix of equipment I already have.

What do you think???

I don't know of anyone that has mounted one. All the catalogs list the plow and parts but I have not seen it. Word is that Diamond will have a trip edge V in the spring. To late for us this year. It will run on a built up E60 but will have double acting cylinders like Fisher/Western. Not sure if they will build it for Meyer as well.

Word got out fast that the Meyer V was a weak plow, with many issues. I know of no one that owns one, or that has seen one first hand. I have heard recall stories, and I think that scared most dealers into not wanting to carry the V.

I also heard that Meyer tested the V plow on a lot covered in sand. Obviously, heavy wet snow is a lot more stressful on the plow than sand.

Being that I have had pleasure of mounting edges in many states in New England, and looking at a variety of plows and equipment, I have to say that the EZV is not a plow I would invest in. I have seen three of them, all three were twisted beyond repair. All three also looked like they had less than 10-20 hrs plowing. The hinges would rip right out of them.

i saw one of those plows at a local welding shop getting put back together. i didnt like the construction of it. i think meyer was trying to get into the market quick, and did'nt engineer or test it fully before they let it fly.

I have one of these plows, and wish I didn't. The first time out it lasted 20 minutes and we had a hydraulic problem. Changed the pump and plow to an 8ft meyer and sent truck back out after killing 45 minutes with two men. Costly! Would really like to make this plow disappear; and replace it with a 810 blizzard plow. There are only two of these plows on Long Island, mine and one belonging to an institution.Any ideas on getting Meyer to take this piece of *#@% back?

Meyer V-plow

Last year I saw 1 sitting at the front door of a Meyer- Western dealer. I should say blocking the front door as the guy was trying to make the dealer take it back  . The dealer told him to take it up the Meyer main office & park it there. If you now ask the dealer if he has a Meyer V-plow to install he walks the other way  he only likes installing Western-V's.
