Picked up an E60 for 200 bucks the other day. Put it on the truck, all works well except the seal around the lift cylinder is leaking. I believe this is the correct part I need to order but would like conformation before I do.

Thats a wiper to keep dirt out. The seal is inside in the cap. You will need a basic seal kit and the lift cylinder seal. You will have to take it apart hence the need for the basic seal kit. Call Smiths, they will tell you exactly what you need. Its a easy job.

Leaking out the top is a sign of overfilled or bad packing cup. There is not supposed to be fluid on top side of the lift ram.

I have a new cap with seal ordered along with a new basic seal set. I noticed that when I lift the plow up it lifts fast til it starts really lifting weight and will basically stop lifting. If I stop lifting and then start again it will eventually raise it all the way up. Anything else I should order while I have the pump apart?
