I have an MDII with the Electro-Touch controller and would prefer to have a joystick. Can anyone tell me what is needed to convert it to a Slik-Stik? I am assuming that I cannot just plug the joystick into the same harness and the touchpad.

ratorrey; i had a touch pad on my plow and converted it to a slick stick. basically all you should need to have on hand is the slick stick, like 8 female spade connectors and a soldering gun. I cut the wires off near(about 5inches from the end) of the touch pad and then crimped spade connectors on the wires. (that way you still have the quick disconnect that the touch pad had.) you do have to splice 3 white wires (in my case) together which is what you have to solder. other than that it works great...now just to find a spot to mount it...should be able to find the wiring on http://www.meyerproducts.com/http://www.centralparts.com/ i got my slick stick from central parts. from the time i clicked on 'buy' to my door was like 3 days. they were the cheapest that i found; plus if you get the 'kit' it includes a mounting bracket.
