I was wondering if anybody else had this problem?
our 2001 3500 has a loose shifter and last night the service engine light came on.

Thats why i love my chevy's !! always something to do on them.

my Snap-on tools never rust !

last night on my way home the # 4 plug wire found it's way against the exhaust manifold, it was really fun driving 20 miles with 300lbs of ballast and the plow on on 5 cylinders..:D
West Virginia isnt exactly flatland ya know..

is your truck with the loose shifter automatic ?
    or a standard ?
as far as the service engine light coming on, could be a multitude of things..
