Looking for pics of Snow Deflectors

Discussion in 'Commercial Snow Removal' started by Avitare, Jan 23, 2008.

  1. I did review the archives of Snow Deflector - threads.
    There were very few pictures.

Hoping some one has been creative.
Jerre gave me some interesting ideas and I will attempt some mods when the
next thaw comes. (91 inches has kept us busy)

The recent dry fluff has brought the subject back to the (windshield)

How about some pictures of what is working for you,..??

I like the poly deflectors because they are stiff and help the plow to roll the snow.

do you have the name of the thread i looked all over last night and couldnt find it. thanks david

The deflector that I have is tad over 9 inches
And it is similiar to the one you have posted pictures.

Jerre mentioned making a deflector straight out and I was
looking for an example. Or any other -- out of the ordinary means.

I am considering a hood 'bug' type deflector.
Today, I watched the snow roll over the hood -- under the lights (?)

The last few snows have been real powder and not a big problem

    thanks for the samples
I too have not found the link to Chase88

if your near some farmers you can try to find someone that has a round baler the rubber belts that roll the bales up work well and usually can get some old ones for free. I think they work well for the price.
  13. nothing creative ??

thought this question would get more input
thanks to those that replied but I am still looking for something different.
Everyone agrees that the same old styles are marginal

    come on
    dont be shy

not really sure how differant you can get with a deflector, besides that, how fast do you wanna go that the typical conveyor belt style wont work ???

The new Snoway EZ fit is compatible with most plows and is very effective. I used one last storm on a 8.5 straight blade worked awesome.

Some pic's of it mounted on plows on this site, It's the ribbed deflector.

Here is a picture of it mounted. The deflector is 3 pc and is adjustable to fit plows 6' to 10' without any cutting. The plow belongs to a member here.
