This is a john deere 2653 fairway and utility mower that we converted to a plow. The machine is three wheel dirve, and turns on a dime. We converted a 6' JD Gator plow and custom made the mounting bracket for the hydraulics. This thing will move some snow. (that is when we get it)

The machine is a 95 and has about 1800 hrs. on it. I picked it up at our local municipal auction for .........get this.............$800. (do some searching on jd 2653 and you will find that this was an absolute STEAL!)http://www.industrysurplus.com.au/ITEMS/agriculture/item3.htmWhen we bought the mower the origional idea was to turn it into a small plow. We tried it as a mower, but unless the properties have golf couse conditions (grass type, height and grading) the mower does not work so well. Hope to have a sprayer and spreader set up for it by spring.

Do you have good down pressure on the blade? Nice job on the mount!

I was going to ask if you had any other uses for the machine. Personally I am a fan of machines that can do multiple tasks. I like it even more.

    Quick Turns

Looks like it could turn on a dime. Must work well in small areas and tight spots.
    Nice job, Hippy

That is a fine machine. I have spent many hours on John Deere golf course equipment. Those little diesels really have some grunt. Nice job with the tire studs and cab, exactly what that thing needs.:salute:

    That looks awesome!
It looks to me like the blade isn't wide enough to run angled, but maybe it's just the picture or me.
