Installing the push plates

    I was installing the push plates today and I was planning on keeping the tow hooks. So far I got everything in place but I did notice that outer front bolt there is space between that and the frame about 2 washers worth. did any of you guys have to shim there push plates. .

    05 2500HD with fisher 7169 pushplates.

    the ears will squash in. Its normal. Use the tightening sequence supplied in the destructions.

    Measure them before squishing. I'm not sure on the newer trucks but when I did the install on my 96 and 98 I had to use washers to shim the brackets to get the 29 in or what ever it was distance between them.

    :eek: Forgot to mention that......Thats why they have that in there I believe, to adjust things.
