I have a icebreaker 2yd sander. When it unloaded or loaded with less than half Yard works fine. But when you load anything more into hopper seems like the chain drive binds up and won't turn. I can pulse the sander and get it to lightly spit. But more than just a click and it binds up.

What are everyone's thoughts on what the problem is...

I'm not new to Sanders by any means. I've just always been with big company's with teams of mechanics. But now it me and a few close friends and ive gotta figure this stuff out without the brains lol

Gas electric or hydraulic drive?

Prob electric since it goes click click. Find the bad connection or tou have a week drive motor.

If electric it could be a number of things like connections, bent shafts, bearings, motors, etc., basically something causing it to stress under load.
If gas it could be clutch related or some of the things listed above as well

Figured I'd post the fix....

Turned out the belt to the clutch had a slight tear and was slipping every rotation causing the drive to bind up. Simple easy fix. Replace the belt and she's good to go. Thanks for your input everyone lead me in right direction
