I just purchased a new truck and am having my plow installed Tuesday.. just wondering how much ballast you guys think I should use. I could get by with none but it's sure nice to be able to plow in 2wd. I was thinking 500-600 lbs... 2013 f350 reg cab srw with a 6.2 gas. Boss 9.2 dxt.

I prefer 6-800 lbs in the back, balancing a 9.2V.

I run about 600 to 800lb, it works great in that range and only need 4wd when its icy or wet heavy snow,

I have a 2 yd v-box and 75 gallon liquid tank in back.
I still use 4x4 pretty often.
