• PlowSite Homepage Upgrade

    Hello again PlowSite community,

I wanted to post a quick note to let you know that the homepage of PlowSite will experience a major upgrade next week. We’re always looking for ways to improve our users’ experience on the site, and felt that this upgrade was needed and long overdue.

With this upgrade, you’ll now see the top trending posts as soon as you visit PlowSite, and these will be updated throughout the day. You can also easily access videos and photos. As always, we encourage you to include videos and photos in your own posts to share with your fellow PlowSite users.

Be assured that all of the forums, content and data that you’ve been accustomed to will remain intact, as will all current site features. You’ll also be able to easily access the full list of forums directly from our new homepage.

We’re excited to bring you this change, and look forward to hearing your feedback.

    Thanks, PlowSite Team

House checking, anyone asked to do it?

I was asked today to check on a customer's vacant house over Christmas. He is one of my better customers. It will be no problem when it snows, since I just have to check the water and heat quickly for consideration, but is there anything I would/should be concerned about from a liability point of view?

we live in a area were there is a lot of vacation homes and many of our customers have us check on their homes, condos, and boats. We charge 35 a month (one visit) if they want more then its $15 more per visit.
Pick up a large outdoor temp gauge and put it inside the front window facing out so you can tell the indoor temp when you drive by.

Big Thermo-bob: gee, thanks. Great Idea. This place has a water-well pump, and the breaker is off already, so all I really need to know is if the heat is still on.

I love this forum. Hee hee.
