Greetings and salutations fellow board members.

This is my first posting as I just became a new member today.

I have no desire to start a flame war with any of you and I am
asking a general question posted below.

I have a patent application awaiting patenting for a new method
of snow and ice control that will reduce salt use by 90% on streets,
    roads, highways, airport runways etc.

The skills I have obtained from being a mechanic in salt mine for
22 years have allowed me to design this new method of deicing
and seeing seeing how much salt is wasted on the highways
    was another reason.

After seeing the rock salt thrown by the counties snow plow
truck driving along at 30 miles an hour throwing salt half way
up my driveway which is seventy five feet long I knew there
had to be a better way to deice highways.

I have repeatedly tried to contact and solicit any interest possible
manufacturers of highway snow removal equipment in my patent
and have had no success. I have been searching fo grant monies
to build a small prototype to prove it works etc. I have approached
the new york state DOT, the federal DOT in washington D.C. They
have no snow there what was I thinking :dizzy:

I would also very willingly talk to a small manufacturer of snow
    removal equipment also.

As I stated I do not want to start a flame war with any of you
good people with my posting nor am I trying to take your
    business away or your incomes.

I think you better do a little more investigation because as far as I know, there are no airport runways in the US using any type of salt and should you have a product that you wish to market to airports, it must pass AMS 1435.

    salt etc.

    Not to start an argument::)

My local airport which is jet and turbo prop rated for landing and take off distance uses rock salt.

Then, maybe it's a bad idea?

Are you just applying salt at a lower rate/different pattern?

How bout throwing us a bone.........what the hell are you talking about.

i think you should elaborate a bit more on what you are trying to get patented. this will allow many of the pros on this site to give you some feedback

Actually I just had this e-mail from South Africa and the daughter of the premier is sending me 183 million and I thought I might give it to this guy for start up money.

Actually there are enough small and medium sized manufacturers hang out here if he really did have an idea that was great someone would be interested in getting involved but he seems to hesitate to give much info and I can't imagine something that revolutionary being possible. Of course a lot of guys have gotten rich on ideas I could have never imagined.

I was just going to say the original post read like a chain email. miracle cure eliminates snow with a button option from your lazy-boy while it pours you a cold beer

So.... What is LEON looking for, what's the point
