My new Blizzard speedwing is very slow and sounds like the wings are sticking when angling the plow. the plow was fine last time it was on the truck. I took the plow off for a week and now it has this problem. its about to snow here and I need this plow running at full strength.

any help is great

Thanks

First things first. Did you wash the plow after last use? if so did it sit outside in freezing weather? Did you check the Hyd. oil level? If the springs on the wings have ice on/in them that can cause problems. The springs are normally extended to push the wings forward. If there is ice in there they will not compress very well when trying to retract wing. Did you change the Hyd. fluid this year? if there is any moisture in the system it can cause the solinoids to stick causing slow response times. You can add a couple of teaspoons of HEET or other brand methanol to your Hyd. oil to act as an anti icing agent. Just a couple of things to check. If you suspect icing... get it in doors for a couple of hours to thaw out. Hope this helps, Abbert55
