You need to throw a pressure gage on it. Sounds like its not producing pressure, I know its a new pump, but sometimes they can be bad. OEM part or aftermarket?
how do i fix that.? ive always used my buddys plow and he took care of the maintenance on it..this is the first year that i have my own so i really dont know anything about repairs
If all the functions are working...which they are in your case, but it simply needs manual assistance to raise or angle then you don't likely have a valve problem.
More like a pressure problem like Basher first mentioned. I've installed many new replacement gear pumps on these E47's (both OEM and aftermarket) that were set way too low on the initial pressure relief right out of the box. You need to get a pressure gage on it and set the relief to the proper pressure. I think you'll discover it works fine then.
i will try that..thanks soo much guys..i appreciate the help and advice....u guys are wayyyyyyy better than dealing with the meyer's people..they have been of no help to me..thanks again
