My plow is starting to act up. The plow will only move intermittently and then not move at all. It doesn't matter what direction up, down, right, left. When it isn't working the red on/off switch blinks. Any help would be appreciated.
When they first came out a few months ago, there were some other members complaining about the same thing. Turned out there were some issues with the controller cord, which was causing the problems. This could be your problem.
Searching on the western forum there were some having the same problems. They said that they were given a new controller that has heavier duty wiring. Anyone try this with a fish stik controller to solve the problem.
I got my third controller last march and it acted up again two weeks ago. Instead of a new controller, they changed the whip and said i should have no more problems. My controllers were all doing what yours is doing.Im not a pro, so please dont ask me what a whip is lol.
I have the 8 and a half foot xtreme v. If the whip was the real problem and now its fixed, I will say this is the best plow out there.
Thanks for the replys. My dealer just talked to Fisher and they are going to send me a new cord and panel. sounds like these cords are giving them fits. I wish it would get here we have another storm coming and I don't want to have to use the old Snoway backup plow if I can help it. Thanks again for your help.
Hey, just an update. I just finished cutting out the bad section of the cord and soldering them back together. It did the trick and it's running fine. The bad section is the part going into the controller itself. It has the little donut shaped rubber fitting and is fatter than the rest of the cord. Just cut that section out and splice them together.
Thanks for all your help. Hopefully this helps someone else.
