    Anyone know of one?

R&L Trucking said they wanted to pick up the tug I got at auction today. The Lewis University airport maintenance people said "Great, we'll have it ready."

Several hours go by and I get a call from the carrier that something is going wrong, but he doesn't know what. I finally get through to the driver at the airport, and it turns out that the rear axles aren't in line with the fronts.

I figure it is just a short between the headsets and the guys at the airport don't know how to drive a 4-wheel steer machine and get the rears in-line when they creep out of line.

When I get ahold of the airport personnel, they indicate that when they pulled the tug out today to get it shipped, something let go under the dash, and a "small" hydraulic leak started. Now they can't get the rear axle to stay straight, and thus they couldn't load it because the rear wouldn't follow the front up the ramps.

I figure it is a fitting or a hose. I can fly out there and look myself, but I don't have a lot of time right now.

Bought an International up there, drove it back, was running hot. Turned out to be a coolant hose that they fixed on the side of the road and topped off with fluid. Drove it home 2 hours without incident.

Chain and a binder will straighten out the tires

    Did you get it resolved?

    Not yet.

I thought of blocking the rear axle in neutral, but the driver wasn’t willing to hang around, and the airport guys weren’t willing to assist.

I have a few calls in to some heavy equipment repair services, but it was late in the day when I found out.

I might be available tomorrow mid afternoon, I don't live to far away if you can get anyone to look at it.

If Pat can’t get over there I might be able to. It is only an hour or so for me. Bad part for me is my service truck is in the shop so I never have what I need...

If Pat and Philbilly can’t get it working, all is lost. Seriously. Gotta love this group sometimes for the members who are willing to jump in and help.

Haha, it's going to be taken care on Monday by the airport people

Had a chain and binder ready.

I've actually been driving the Raptor the last couple of days....zoom,zoom...it will carry some weight too.

Got a little project going on at the local home improvement store. Had to bring distribution and a generator

No need. The airport here gives me free diesel for any machine they borrow.
