    ...used water softener salt for salting? I started using it a few years back when rock salt was hard to find during the winter. Plus it's only $4.99 a bag vs $6.99 a bag for rock salt. It is in heavy plastic bags and no moisture can get in causing the clumping like seems to always happen with most bagged rock salt. Only three of my 20 clients require salting and I've never had any complaints. I'd like to hear from others on this type of salt. Thanks.

    your paying wayyyy to much for rock salt...i get 80 lbs bags of rock for 5.33

    I have used it with good results
    It mixes very well with sand too
