well after the snow just melted i noticed that i got some stone in some of my customers yards. the first snow was early and the stone wasnt hard packed or frozen and even though how hard you might try its almost impossible to clear any snow and not get any stone in the yard. so do you guys go back and clean the yard out since you put the stone there or wait untill they call and then go do it. im thinking that i will probably go do it just to keep good relations.

thanks

We do an end of season sweep.

Clean the yards and take a few notes on where not to push for the next yr

so you bill the client for moving the rocks back right? that ain't bad. i still wouldnt do it but if i could bill them for it i wouldn't bother me as much.

If they are a year round customer YES if they are just snow plowing, NO, they should know what comes with having a gravel drive, no matter what the conditions.
My thoughts also!!!! There choice to live in snow country and thats to be expected.

It's in my price--its just not spelled as such.
They think its gratus.
But, I dont price gravel drives the same as paved (if there is an issue
with going into a yard) Some gravel is wooded (like mine) and there
is no clean-up.

With the yard-guards ( pipe over the cutting bar) we dont mess
much gravel or peal back turf.

No two drives are the same and I dont bill them the same.
