Got new snow bucket for CAT loader!

Discussion in 'Equipment, Tools & Vehicle Pictures' started by flairlandscape, Jan 31, 2009.

  1. Seriously I think it can carry 5-7 yards of snow, it fills the dump truck in two buckets! So much quicker!

  2. I'll upload a quick video of me loading the truck.. its not real good cause I'm trying to hold the camera, which steering, while loading...

I'll have to do it later today, cant quite figure it out and I gotta go now

I have a Craig Snow Bucket also...second season on it.

Bought it for my Deere 244J...standard dirt bucket is 1.4yds...snow bucket is 3.5yds!!

Works great....thought the holes in it were just for wieght conservation...but once I used it a realized they were for far more. The holes allow the air pressure to escape thereby allow the bucket to completely fill...and when dumping to completely empty. Unlike a GP bucket you aren't carrying around a third of a bucket of stuck snow all the time.

It was expensive but it has increased my snow moving productivity by 400+% So less operator time, less machine time, less fuel etc...will pay for itself in three seasons I guess.

Makes a small machine move snow like a big one

I move snow with it and a Protech 10' snow pusher....both quick attach...very productive setup.

I will try to find some pictures to post.

you have to get one....the increase in efficiency is amazing....not just the bucket capacity but the ability to have is fill completely and empty completely is unreal....plus its angle of attack and roll back ability is really perfect for snow.

I compare it to plowing with a pusher vs. a bucket

maybe you should just put some quick detach pins on the side of the truck, hook it to the front of a Giant FEL, and just turn it sideways and scoop up the whole truck load in one swipe, then no one can beat you haha
  19. Its a 924H, very nice machine.

Sorry guys, I uploaded the video from my phone, and I can't get it to upload, let alone even play on my computer! Darn it.
