is it a heavy half or a true 3/4 ton. I've seen alot of 6 lug 3/4s and not only 2wd. I'm not sure I grasp the whole thing. No offence or anything, I'm just not very smart.

Nice truck. I'd say he put the newer style grill on it. It has 1989 interior, I can tell by the square dash.

The 89 to 90 3/4 look the exact same. the only way you can tell the difference is in the lugs. 6 lugs meant that it was a straight up 3/4 the 8 lugs meant that u had a 3/4 hd or a 2500 had. Same as the new chevys. you can get 2500 or a 2500hd. The grill looks to be the same its the head lights that look different to me. 89 the headlights were glass and they didnt have replaceable bulbs. when it went you had to change the whole light head. and it was seperate from high to low beam. Looks sweet though. I like the look of the 3/4s in those years. They look tuff only trouble is they are hard to find around here. Alot of them are still on the road where i live.Looks great with the plow on it.

Mercer...They ran the same dash up until 94. Could be just a different nose clip like you said. 95 the dash got changed to a rounder style.
