    i just got off the phone with service manager about my 04
    truck. i asked about the updated clutch for coolant system
    he told me none of them have the updated one and they
    dont give it to you even though you pay for the plow package dizzy:
    my next truck will be a toyota the hell with gm..no wonder their
    sales are down....

    I think you need to go to a different dealer. Several people on this site including myself, have had it replaced free of charge.

    Some service writers are so dumb.

    Buy the way, they work at the Toyota dealers too!

    I had the clutch replaced on three trucks; no problem, no charge. Find another dealer. I'd be afraid to put a plow on a Toy; it might tip over!

    Did the dealer replace the clutch for free out of warranty? I need my clutch replaced on my 02' and my dealer wouldn't replace it. It is out of warranty.

    Just wondering...

    The '04 was in warranty, the '01 was out of the factory warranty, but I have the extended warranty. It did not show up under the claim history though.

    Yah, that was what I thought. I never asked if they had replaced any on other trucks. Next time I go there I am going to ask out of curiosity. Thanks for the reply.
