I couldn't post pics in the Western thread for some reason, so:

I have a mount that came with a blade and a blade that came with a leak I've never had before. Here's the mount:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/papa-bear/4155646058/" title="image by affekonig2000, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2646/4155646058_2f24627a2d.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="image" /></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/papa-bear/4155646568/" title="image by affekonig2000, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2594/4155646568_eaa06c5ebe.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="image" /></a>

And here's where the leak is coming from:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/papa-bear/4154888965/" title="image by affekonig2000, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2774/4154888965_3d9abf617c.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="image" /></a>

It seeps between the valve block and pump housing where that black silicone was scraped away (previous owner's solution).

    Any thoughts?

Ok, I've been on Western's site and it looks like it's a Ram mount.

    Any thoughts on the leak?

Maybe an o ring between the block and housing? This game is no fun by myself...

The leak-The valve body comes off of the cast cylinder housing and there is an oring in there. The oring is probably shot, and it would be a good idea to go over some of the other seals while you're at it. The valve body is aluminum, make sure to clean it good and check for pitting around the oring, which could just as easily cause a leak.

Not 100% sure on the mount, other than it won't fit an 88-98 chevy. Could be a dodge.

    Yep, 94-01 Dodge Ram.

As mentioned, there are three o-rings between the valve block and housing. Your best bet is to remove and replace.

That moldboard is brand new! Nicest one I've had in ten years, and the last one that nice was brand new.

Nice blade! Who'd you steal it from? Just kidding, what made you upgrade to that?

I decided that I wouldn't need them so I sold my two backups within the last few weeks, then decided that I wanted a backup. This one popped up for a decent price so I jumped on it. The price was ady goood, then I got there and found out that he was including the mount and controller too. It ended up being a pretty sweet deal.

Yep, I pulled it apart and there were two mangled o rings and some corrosion. It's cleaned up and working fine. Thanks for the help everybody.

Sounds good. I've talked to him on here and maybe once over the phone, but I've never met him in person. I see them out sometimes plowing near the neighborhood that I work in and I think that's as close as we've ever been. Where are you? I live in Warrenville right by I88 and Winfield Rd.
