So my 2006 Chevy 2500hd with 82k started making a squealing noise in the front when braking. The harder you brake the louder it gets.Ive had the truck since 25k and have only done rear pads and rotors.Havent had a chance to take it apart yet probably do it this weekend. My question is does Chevy use a squealer when the pad gets low to let you know the pads are getting close to needing to be replaced?

Needs pads and rotors.Your brake pads have a squealer on them that makes a squealing noise when your pads need to be replaced
