Hi does anyone know if there is a difference between a 1969 10 bolt and a 1989 10 bolt. I am planning to swap both axles so that i get disk brakes on my 1969 blazer. Any and all imput will be appriciated.

Your truck will most likely be a Dana 44,not a 10 bolt.I don't think it's a direct bolt in,but you should be able to make the 10 bolt fit.

Another option may be just to find a set of Dana 44 outer knuckles (with disks),and bolt them up to your axle.

You may also have to change the proportioning valve and master to get the brakes to work correctly.

Have you searched the net ? Maybe somebody offers a kit for this conversion.
