i know this isnt exactly plow related but whatever....i saw this about a week ago its at some heavy truck repair place by my work ive decided it is the coolest vehicle i have ever seen. 10wd w a tag axle and 52"s the guy at the truck place told me its a retired military truck last actively used in desert storm, he told me it was to pull out stuck tanks and tow them to get repaired? top speed 42mph. no bs the front bumper is like 7'x3' by like 1.5" thick

i dont understand the goofy paint either its degrading to such a cool vehicle it used to be all tan but i think it deserves to be all flat black.................... cue iron maiden to start playing "run to the hills" hahaha

The paint scheme is obviously meant for a secret opps mission at a circus!

It looks like they just keep spraying rusty spots with the color paint they have laying around. That is way to cool of a truck to look like a Van Gogh painting

It's either a J-Series oil field truck or it's a converted version of the original HET.

by the way; it would not pull out 'stuck' tanks. The M1 Abrams at the time of the first Gulf were weighing in at over 68 tons. they only get pulled out by another tracked vehicle (currently the M88 Hercules)

As far as wheeled vehicles go, it is stout no doubt.

my friend had a rear bumper on his '77 3/4ton chevy that was a foot wide by 1.5 inches thick. we had to replace the bolts in it once and each just about got hernias from it... a hi-lift was the only thing that would lift it! lol.
