fisher push plates

    Hey guys can anyone tell me if the 8600# pushplates can be modified on to a 7200# gvw or do i have to get new plates. sorry guys for a chevy

    Iroc, Didn't know them made a Z with that High of a GVW....LOL

    What year are you working on? Conventional mount or Minute mount? This would help. Jerre

    If you're very, very handy with a torch you might be able to. The pushplates for an 8600 GVW have a pad welded on the top of the mount where the plate mounts up against the frame. This is because the frame takes a deeper bend on the 8600 than does the 7200. The 7200 kit used to be able to be used in conjunction with a spacer block kit to go the other way. So, if you can remove these rectangular pads from off the top of the pushplate, they will go on.
